Becker v Stich

Berlin 2002: Boris Becker in action during his match against Michael Stich in Berlin. Boris Becker and Michael Stich are old tennis rivals. Stich beat Becker in the 1991 Wimbledon final, a big loss for Boris and a great victory for Michael. Both guys have a very strong individual style, therefore they did not speak with each other for a long time. Thus the match in berlin was not only the revival of the old battle, but at the same time it was the day when both became real friends. Seven thousand fans attended the match plus two million more watched live on German TV (ARD), plus over 200 journalists also covered the duel. The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation was the main presenter of this remarkable exhibition match. By the way...Becker won 7-6, 6-4. Copyright/Laureus
